Planning Commission Public Hearing Files Now Available

The City of Compton has made the Planning Commission Public Hearing files for the Compton General Plan 2045 Update and related actions available for public review.

The materials provide the documents that will be considered as part of the public hearing process, including the Planning Commission Staff Report and supporting materials for the General Plan 2045 Update, 2021–2029 Housing Element, proposed Zoning Map changes, targeted Zoning Text Amendments, Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Ordinance Update, and related environmental review.

The available files include the complete Compton General Plan 2045, including its individual elements; the 2021–2029 Housing Element and supporting appendices; proposed amendments to multiple sections of the Compton Zoning Code; and the Proposed Draft Zoning Map.

The Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) materials are also available, including responses to comments received on the Draft EIR, errata, public circulation materials, comment letters, the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program, and Findings of Fact and Statement of Overriding Considerations.

Together, these materials provide the public with an opportunity to review the proposed General Plan and zoning changes, supporting analysis, and environmental documentation in advance of the Planning Commission's consideration of the project.
